Project on the investigation of groundwater for Hà Giang Province

hagiangHà Giang is the border area of the North Vietnam, where located high mountains and a plenty of rivers and springs.

The terrain of Hà Giang province is relatively complex, dividing into 3 areas: the high mountainous area bordering with the northern tropics is quite steep; valleys, rivers and springs are separated; climate was featured with temperate, dividing into 2 seasons: rainy and dry. The high mountainous area of the West belongs to the massif of the Chay river’s upstream gathers with steep slopes, high passes, narrow valleys and stream beds; the climate of this area is divided into 2 seasons: rainy and dry. The low area of the Province includes hills, mountains, Lo river valleys and the town of Hà Giang.

Hà Giang was endowed with a number of high mountains with the highest peaks of Tây Côn Lĩnh (2419 m) and Kiều Liêu Ti (2402m). Regarding the flora, Hà Giang possesses many primeval forests with precious woods and 1000 kinds of rare medicinal plants. Animals are tigers, peacock, pangolins, … and a hundreds of other birds and animals.
